Nearly 4,000 visitors enjoyed a fun-packed farming day at Springtime Live, kick starting the Easter weekend at the Great Yorkshire Showground.

From live entertainment to farm animals, demonstrations to hands-on workshops, families enjoyed a day of fun at the annual event.

Organised by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, this was the fifth Springtime Live which is held to promote food, farming and the countryside.

Charles Mills, Show Director, said: “It’s been a fantastic day with plenty of fun activities for the youngsters who have been able to get up close to farming animals as well as enjoying hands on activities and entertainment.”



  • Springtime Live is organised by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, a charity supporting rural Yorkshire
  • YAS supports and promotes the farming industry through health care, business, education and funding scientific research into rural affairs
  • YAS runs a family of businesses including Fodder, Yorkshire Event Centre, Pavilions of Harrogate and the Harrogate Caravan Park as well as events Great Yorkshire Show, Countryside Live and Springtime Live
  • Events at the Great Yorkshire Showground contribute £47 million a year to the local economy
